Technology Acceptable Use Policy
Vida Charter School recognizes the power and utility of technology as a supplement and extension of instruction. We strive to give students developmentally appropriate opportunities for exploration.
School Spirit!
End each week with pride in your community! Wear Vida Charter School clothing on Fridays.
These include, but are not limited to:
- Audiovisual entry points
- Chromebooks with internet access
- A personal @vidacs.org email
- Immersion in the Google for Education platform
- Educational games, robotics, and coding lessons
Acceptable Use
- Students will use the computers/technology as instructed to do so by the teacher.
- Students will treat the computers/technology with respect.
- Students will move calmly in the room to keep computers/technology physically safe.
- Students will only go the site(s) that they are instructed to access
- Communications between students, via chat, email, and all other platforms, will be appropriate, related to the relevant academic tasks, and following the Code of Conduct.
- Researching topics related to a school project is the only appropriate use of internet search engines.
- The Anti-Bullying Policy (804), and Code of Conduct Discipline Section apply to the usage of technology.
- A student who gains access to inappropriate material on the Internet is expected to discontinue the access as quickly as possible and to report the incident to their teacher.
